Monthly Update – North Post Ministry

This past month has been a busy and encouraging season for North Post Ministry in support of the North Fort Hood Chapel. Following the launch of our new website in February 2026, we have been blessed to see the ministry grow and quickly step into new opportunities to serve the Soldiers of North Fort Hood.

On Easter Sunday, the North Post Chapel celebrated the Resurrection of Jesus Christ with a sunrise service made possible by the generous sponsorship of HEB-Gatesville and the Caffeinated Baker. The morning was filled with fellowship, worship, and plenty of great food as service members came together to celebrate this important day.

We also held the Gatesville Community Council Meeting, graciously hosted by Dove Nest Motorsports, with a wonderful meal provided by HEB–Copperas Cove. At this meeting, we discussed this month's events, upcoming opportunities within the community, and new partnership opportunities. These gatherings continue to strengthen partnerships and help us stay aligned in our mission to serve.

Morale Day

As part of the Easter season, we were honored to partner with the North Post Chapel to provide a Morale Day that truly reflected the strength of our community. Multiple Veteran Service Organizations and partners came out in support, including the Central Texas Food Bank, the Red Cross, and several local businesses, and Gatesville faith partners, all working together to serve and encourage our service members. The day was filled with energy and fellowship, featuring games, friendly competitions, music, and plenty of food for everyone to enjoy. Volunteers and participants alike shared in a time of connection and joy, creating an atmosphere where laughter, encouragement, and community were at the center. It was a powerful reminder of what can happen when people come together with a shared heart to serve.

Operation Compelling Comfort

After learning of the need for hygiene and personal care items, North Post Ministry launched Operation Compelling Comfort to help support service members through the North Post Chapel's community closet. What followed was an incredible outpouring of generosity. Over 20 Veteran Service Organizations, churches, and community members came together to donate supplies, providing more than enough to sustain ongoing support efforts for an extended period. We are truly grateful for how the community answered the call.
