Engaging on post: fostering community and connection

We bring joy and a sense of home directly to our soldiers and their families right on the military installation. These events are designed to create memorable experiences, build camaraderie, and provide a much-needed break from the demands of military life. From cheering on their favorite teams to enjoying live music and good food, our on-post programs are a testament to our commitment to their well-being. A few of our major events include: 

  • Super Bowl Watch Party Support: A spirited gathering to enjoy the big game together.
  • Concert & BBQ: Live music, delicious food, and a chance to relax and socialize.
  • Thanksgiving dining facility live concert: Bringing holiday cheer and entertainment directly to those serving.

 

 

 

 

Community integration: events beyond the gates

North Post Ministry extends its reach into the local community, creating opportunities for soldiers and their families to connect with Gatesville, TX. These off-post events are a wonderful way to foster a stronger bond between the military and civilian populations, showcasing the profound appreciation our community has for their service. They provide entertainment and a chance for soldiers to experience the welcoming spirit of local residents and businesses. A few major off-post events include:

  • Military Appreciation Tailgate Party and Football Game – Gatesville ISD: Gatesville ISD invites Soldiers to attend their Military Appreciation football game. This event is sought after by rival teams a s the game to play, as the Soldiers enjoy a tailgate meal prior to and then join the team on the field to welcome in the Gatesville Hornets. 
  • July 4th Fireworks Show: A spectacular celebration for the entire community, including our military families. Multiple locations across town host events honoring the military, culminating with the ultimate fireworks display that rivals the likes of Fort Hood.

Our mission is amplified by the incredible support of external community partners – including the City Government of Gatesville, local business leaders, and military veteran organizations. These collaborative events are vital for creating a robust network of support. They allow the wider community to directly express gratitude, offer a wider array of activities for soldiers, and provide local businesses with an opportunity to give back. Each event reinforces the message that our soldiers are valued, appreciated, and an integral part of our shared community.
